About this product

Amla Powder for Hair and Skin, Shade-Dried and Pure

Amla powder for hair is the one Indian pantry staple almost every hair routine starts with. Ours is shade-dried whole Indian gooseberry, stone-ground and sifted, with nothing added. Used as a hair pack it strengthens roots and slows early greying; used on skin it brightens with its own natural vitamin C. One ingredient, and that is the whole label.

Amla Powder (Emblica officinalis) — India’s most revered Ayurvedic superfruit, now in pure, shade-dried powder form. Known as the “Indian Gooseberry,” amla has been the cornerstone of Ayurvedic beauty for over 5,000 years.

Packed with natural Vitamin C — one of the richest plant sources on earth — amla powder strengthens hair from root to tip, promotes growth, and adds natural shine. For skin, it brightens complexion, fights pigmentation, and boosts collagen production for a youthful glow.

Combine with Bhringraj Powder for the ultimate hair growth duo, pair with Henna Powder for conditioning colour, or try our Pick Any 3 Combo to save more.

Questions

FAQs

How often should I use it?
2–3 times a week for most skin types; once a week for sensitive skin.
Can I use it for hair and skin?
Yes — mix with water for a hair pack, or with honey/rose water for a brightening face pack.
Does it help with greying?
Amla is traditionally used to support natural hair colour and reduce premature greying.
Is it 100% pure?
Yes — it’s 100% pure, shade-dried shade-dried amla with no fillers or chemicals.
What can I mix it with?
Water, rose water, raw milk, yoghurt or honey all work well.
How do you use amla powder for hair growth?
Mix 2–3 tbsp amla powder with warm water (or with shikakai) into a paste, apply to the scalp and lengths, leave 30–45 min, then rinse. Use 1–2 times a week. See our step-by-step guide.
Is amla powder good for grey hair?
Amla is one of Ayurveda’s most loved herbs for maintaining natural hair colour and slowing premature greying — use it regularly as a hair pack, often paired with bhringraj.
How do you use amla powder for the face and skin?
Mix a little amla powder with water, honey or yoghurt into a paste, apply for 10–15 min, then rinse. It’s rich in vitamin C and helps brighten dull skin.
Can you eat or drink amla powder?
Our amla powder is prepared for topical hair and skin use, not as a food supplement — please use it as a hair or face pack rather than eating or drinking it.
Amla or bhringraj — which is better for hair?
They complement each other: amla adds strength and shine, bhringraj supports growth and colour. Using both together in one pack gives the best all-round results.
How often should I use amla powder?
1–2 times a week is ideal. Give it 8–12 weeks of consistent use to see a real difference.

How often should I use amla powder for hair?
Once or twice a week is plenty. Mix two to three tablespoons with warm water, curd or aloe into a paste, leave it thirty minutes, then rinse.
Will amla powder for hair darken my hair?
It will not colour hair the way henna does, but with regular use it deepens your natural tone slightly and helps slow early greying.
Can I mix amla powder with henna or shikakai?
Yes, and most people do. Amla balances henna’s drying effect and pairs naturally with shikakai in a wash.
Is this edible amla powder?
No. This is ground for topical hair and skin use, not for eating.
Does it help hair fall?
Amla strengthens the hair shaft and supports the scalp, so it reduces breakage-driven fall. It will not fix fall caused by illness or deficiency on its own.
Is your amla powder for hair pure?
Yes. Our amla powder for hair is a single ingredient, shade-dried and stone-ground, with no fillers or flow agents.
Can I use amla powder for hair on my skin too?
Yes. The same amla powder for hair works as a brightening face pack thanks to its natural vitamin C.
