About this product

Bhringraj Powder for Hair, the King of Herbs

Bhringraj powder for hair is made from pure eclipta alba, known across South India as maka or karisalankanni. Ours is shade-dried so the leaf keeps its colour and potency, then stone-ground. Traditionally it is the herb people reach for when hair is thinning or greying early. Nothing else is in the pouch.

Bhringraj Powder (Eclipta alba) — known in Ayurveda as the “King of Herbs” for hair. Organically grown, shade-dried, and ground to a fine powder that mixes easily into hair packs, oils, and masks.

Promotes hair growth, prevents premature greying, and restores scalp health. Regular use strengthens hair from root to tip, reduces hair fall, and adds natural thickness and volume. Bhringraj has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine as the ultimate herb for hair rejuvenation — it nourishes follicles, improves blood circulation to the scalp, and revitalises damaged hair.

Questions

FAQs

How often should I use it?
2–3 times a week for most skin types; once a week for sensitive skin.
How do I use it for hair?
Mix with water (or with our Hair Growth Oil) into a paste, apply to scalp and lengths, leave 30–45 min, then wash.
Does it really help greying?
Bhringraj is one of the most trusted Ayurvedic herbs for maintaining natural hair colour.
Is it 100% pure?
Yes — it’s 100% pure, shade-dried Bhringraj leaves with no fillers or chemicals.
What can I mix it with?
Water, rose water, raw milk, yoghurt or honey all work well.
How do you use bhringraj powder for hair growth?
Mix 2–3 tbsp bhringraj powder with warm water (or our Hair Growth Oil) into a smooth paste, massage into the scalp and lengths, leave 30–45 minutes, then rinse. Use it 2–3 times a week. See our full guide on how to use bhringraj for hair.
How do you use bhringraj powder for grey hair?
For premature greying, apply a bhringraj + amla hair pack 2–3 times a week for 8–12 weeks. Bhringraj is one of Ayurveda’s most trusted herbs for maintaining your natural hair colour.
Can you eat or drink bhringraj powder?
Our bhringraj powder is made for topical hair and skin use, not for eating or drinking. Please use it as a hair pack or mask rather than consuming it.
Bhringraj powder or bhringraj oil — which should I use?
Both work — they just suit different routines. The powder is best as a weekly hair pack, while an oil is easier for regular scalp massage. Many people use the pack twice a week and oil in between.
Bhringraj vs amla — which is better for hair?
They do different jobs, so they’re best together. Bhringraj supports growth and natural colour; amla adds strength and shine. Mixing both in one pack gives the most rounded results.
Does bhringraj powder help with hair fall?
Bhringraj is traditionally used to support a healthier scalp and less hair fall over time. Pair it with a balanced diet and gentle washing — expect visible changes over 8–12 weeks, not overnight.
Can I use bhringraj powder as a natural hair dye?
On its own it won’t colour hair, but bhringraj deepens and enriches colour beautifully when mixed with henna or indigo, and helps maintain your natural shade.

How do I use bhringraj powder for hair?
Mix two to three tablespoons with warm water or curd into a smooth paste. Apply to the scalp and lengths, leave forty-five minutes, then rinse.
Can I mix bhringraj powder with oil instead?
Yes. Warm a few spoons of coconut oil, stir in the powder, cool it and apply to the scalp. Many people prefer this for dry hair.
Will bhringraj powder darken grey hair?
It does not dye hair. Used consistently it is traditionally said to slow further greying rather than reverse what is already grey.
How long before I see a difference?
Give it eight to twelve weeks of twice-weekly use. Hair growth is slow and nothing topical changes that.
Can I use it with henna?
Yes. Bhringraj and henna are a common pairing, and bhringraj takes some of the dryness out of a henna pack.
Is your bhringraj powder for hair pure eclipta alba?
Yes. Our bhringraj powder for hair is single-ingredient eclipta alba, shade-dried and stone-ground with nothing added.
Can I mix bhringraj powder for hair with oil?
Yes. Warming coconut oil and stirring in bhringraj powder for hair makes an excellent scalp treatment for dry hair.
