Why our neem wood comb set is worth it
The neem wood comb set exists because one comb rarely does both jobs well. The wide tooth comb is for damp hair and detangling, where spacing prevents breakage. The fine tooth comb is for dry hair, for styling, and for working scalp oil evenly down the lengths.
Both are hand-cut from neem and oil-treated so the wood does not dry out or crack. It is also the thing our customers gift most often, because two handmade combs are useful to absolutely anyone.
A note on the wood
Every neem wood comb set is cut and finished by hand, so the grain, colour and weight vary between pairs. Two combs from the same batch will not look identical, and that is the nature of real wood rather than a fault.
Neem is chosen for combs because it is hard enough to hold a fine tooth without splintering and naturally antimicrobial. Keep both combs dry, wipe them after use, and rub in a drop of coconut oil once a month to stop the wood drying out.
A neem wood comb set also travels well. Wood does not crack in a bag the way thin plastic teeth do, and neither comb needs a case.
